Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Remember When mobile application ("App").
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. About Remember When
Remember When is a daily nostalgia trivia game operated by SoberSend, based in Washington, USA. The App lets you play a limited number of quiz questions each day, track streaks and scores, and connect with friends.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
If you are under 18, you should use the App only with permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- Notify us at sobersend@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Cheat, manipulate scores, or exploit bugs for unfair advantage.
- Harass, abuse, or impersonate other users.
- Use the App for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the App or its servers.
- Create multiple accounts to abuse daily limits or friend features.
- Share content that is hateful, illegal, or infringes others' rights.
We may remove content or restrict access if you violate these rules.
5. Gameplay rules
- Daily quiz: each user may complete the official daily quiz once per calendar day (in your local timezone unless otherwise stated in the App).
- Scores and streaks: we strive for accurate tracking but do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free scoring.
- Friends: you may add friends via invite codes or invite links. You are responsible for how you share invites.
Trivia content is for entertainment. We do not guarantee that every question or answer is historically perfect.
6. Intellectual property
The App, including its name, logo, design, questions (where applicable), and software, is owned by SoberSend or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.
7. User content
You provide information such as your display name and gameplay data. You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant us a license to use, store, and display it as needed to operate the App (for example, showing your score to friends you connect with).
8. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use information. By using the App, you consent to our Privacy Policy.
9. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services (such as Supabase for authentication and data storage). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOBERSEND AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (TYPICALLY $0 FOR THE FREE APP) OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SoberSend from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting sobersend@gmail.com.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or harms other users or the service.
Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive.
14. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update the App or these Terms at any time. We will post updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated in the App or by email where appropriate.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that disputes will be resolved in courts located in Washington, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

17. Entire agreement
